Could you tighten up your registration for spammers
- Maybe add security question
- Add ReCaptcha
- Also moderate 1st posts by new users
Just to discourage these spammers.

Hi Zigzag

Yes we have, banned IP ranges, added security questions, have ReCaptcha etc.

Best way to stop spammers is manually though, because ultimately they do slip through. And as Sarel always reminds our fellow forumites, we are all teachers/volunteers/etc. and there are times that our 'real life' takes priority.

Therefore we welcome any assistance from fellow SA-SAMS forumites to become moderators so that we can keep this forum on point.

Strange how some members have a laugh when this forum is spammed.

Spamming reduces the effectiveness of other contributing members assisting all who is seeking advice. Instead of lol, either keep quiet or be of assistance.

The purpose of this bulletin board is to help/guide. Let's keep to our core purpose. To all our contributing members, we thank you, and we are also grateful to all those who ask questions. Most of us are teachers, and this site is run by volunteers, show some respect.

sure no problem - make me a moderator please. I check this forum twice daily and have over 300 clients (schools) to assist with their sa-sams queries and questions when their districts fail them and time is of importance.

By the way when can we expect the next release that fixes the missing subjectId records in the subjectcriteria table such that valistractor can do its thing - gets tedious to have to run a sql query in the db backend.

Can't help if those of use who are capable are kept in the dark because SA-SAMS is "Free" but not opensource to alleviate bug fixes and patches.

Would be able to help out @Ashraf. Around on forum 1-2 times a day when not too busy.
