Exclamation Version 3.5.3 Available
Posted by: SarelK - 12-01-2017, 12:28 PM - Forum: Free State : Errors, Omissions & Submissions Utility - No Replies

Kindly note that an update to the Free State Errors, Omissions & Submissions Tool was released.

Release Date: 2017/11/29
File Size: 31.90 MB
Download the Update from here.
Download the weekly Online LURITS Data Submission Guide here.

Notes of Importance:

As per the FSDoE EMIS Team:

  • Please note that the latest Circular from DBE is requesting that all Learner Year-End Promotions must be submitted, per learner, to DBE on 4 December 2017. During our initial instructions (Circular 22/2016), FSDoE requested the Year-End Promotion information on 6 December 2017.

  • The fact the DBE is requesting the information on 4 December 2017, is forcing us to open submissions today already for final Year-End Promotion submissions. If your Year-End Promotions were not done, the system will not allow you to upload.

  • Please complete the Learner and Teacher attendance information, finish the Year-End Promotion process and upload as soon as possible. EMIS will only report outstanding promotion submissions after 6 December 2017.

  • Schools that have not uploaded on 6 December 2017, will be contacted by Circuit Mangers on 7 December 2017.

Hi,

This is just to assist anyone that might receive this error:

Error 430: Class does not support Automation or does not support expected interface

Was a Windows 7 PC that could not connect to either the database on the server or a local one.

Managed to resolve the problem by installing a update for Windows 7 Service Pack 1

Posted by: Paul Zietsman - 11-28-2017, 12:47 PM - Forum: 12. Curriculum Related Data - Replies (2)

The subjects for Grade R does not show on 12.3.12. I can not enter marks.

It does show on 12.3.11 and validation was done.

How do I solve this one?

Less children in 12.3.12 (maintain learner task assesments) than on Learner Listing (
Posted by: Paul Zietsman - 11-28-2017, 12:43 PM - Forum: 12. Curriculum Related Data - Replies (2)

Less children in 12.3.12 (maintain learner task assesments) than on Learner Listing (4).

How do I get them back on 12.3.12? When going to 12.3.12 I have in Grade 3 Afrikaans only 11 learners instead of 14 for Eng FAL, Maths and AFR HL. For Life Skills there is only 9 instead of 14. When going to Learner Listing (4) all the learners are on the list. The same is happening with the Grade 3 English group. The same is happening with the Grade 2 group and Grade 1 group. Can anyone assist?

A compatibility issue was identified with computers running Windows 32-bit Operating Systems.  This has been resolved.

If in doubt, consult with your Provincial EMIS Section first to ascertain if you should install the Patch.

Please refer to the following thread for an update on this:

  Capturing General Report Comment

Good Morning.

Please let me know of the quickest way of choosing the General Report Comment.

Typing in the comment number does not help.  Have to scroll through the entire list - not so easy as the full comment is not visible.

Any suggestions.?

Kind Regards
Anashree

Primary Release: 22 November 2017

Initial Size: 16.8 MB
Current Size: 20.1 MB

Extremely Important:

  • The official DBE Release Notes for this Patch can be downloaded from the link below - please read it.
  • Always ensure that you run Patches in the order that they are released, i.e. do not miss running a Patch in-between the following one.
  • Remember to make regular Backups of your SA-SAMS and School Library Module databases.
  • Some Provincial EMIS Sections choose to approve a new Patch first, before their users install it. Please confirm with them first, if in doubt.

  • It contains updates on Gr. 10 and 11 Hospitality Studies.
  • It contains updates on Gr. 10, 11 and 12 SAL.
  • NB: Unlike the Initial Release, this Patch is now compatible with 32-Bit and 64-bit Windows Operating Systems.
